Event Details

So excited to be back at Camp Hi-Rock! September 22-24, 2023

EVENT DETAILS:

Life is a jouney, and everyday is gift. Open your "present" from the trees.  This workshop, open to all genders, is taught by coaches who identify as women.

WTCW recognizes women as individuals who identify as female and welcome cis-gendered, trans, nonbinary, and gender-diverse people.

Focusing on the art and science of Arboriculture, this fall workshop will renew your spirit, strengthen your community with other climbers and most importantly, solidify your confidence in "Knowing what you know, and knowing what you don't know."  We welcome you as we learn together.

Check in:

NOON on Friday, 9/22.  If you arrive early, feel free to go for a walk in the woods.  There is a great 3 mile trail around the lake.

This all-inclusive workshop includes delicious food, lodging, instruction and use of tree climbing gear and CEU's.   As a beginner you will learn how to use your body efficiently to climb trees.  For Graduates, you will work off the building blocks learned from earlier workshops.  As a person with experience you will learn a plethora of pro-tips to elevate your skills and knowledge base.

Travel:

If you need a ride from the airport - Research car share programs (Taxi, Uber, Lyft, etc.).  A few weeks before the workshop a group email will be sent to everyone with homework and opportunities to connect if you'd like to coordinate ride sharing.

Lodging:

Bring your own bedding (sleeping bag or bedding & pillow). The camp provides twin beds (some bunk beds) and rooms that sleep 2-4 people with a washroom.  Please bring your own toiletries (towel and personal hygiene items).
