Join us for the 2nd annual WTCW at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center, Aug 25-27, 2023

Eagle Bluff required Medical Survey completed 14 days before arrival.

This all-inclusive workshop includes food, lodging, instruction, use of gear and CEU's. You will learn how how to climb trees while emphasizing the art and science of Arboriculture. This safe, empowering experience will renew your spirit, allow you to bond with others curious and excited to learn more about trees, aloft! Most importantly, you will leave with new friends and an expanded network of professional colleagues.
Travel:
If you need a ride from the airport - Research car share programs (Uber, Lyft, etc.). We will also send a group email once registration closes, so if you'd like to coordinate ride shares together. (ex: Rochester airport to Eagle Bluff: 47 min MSP airport to Eagle Bluff: 2 hours)
Lodging:
The camp hosts 4-6 twin beds, washrooms and showers per room. Please bring your own toiletries (towel and personal hygiene items). Bring your own bedding (sleeping bag & pillow). To save on packing, linen sets upon request – includes sheet, blanket, pillow, towel, washcloth, add’l $5 cash per person @ check-in to Eagle Bluff.
Food:
THIS IS A NUT FREE CAMPUS! NONE ALLOWED ON PROPERTY!
Meals and snacks are included in your registration costs! Friday: Dinner; Saturday: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner; Sunday: Breakfast and Lunch. If you have food allergies, our host chef will do their best to fulfill your requests. If you need snacks, please bring your own and maybe a snack container to bring out to the field or up in a tree.
Tree Climbing Gear:
If you have your own tree climbing gear and wish to use it at the event, please bring it with your gear inspection documentation. Gear inspection and sign off by a WTCW team member is mandatory before use.
Clothing:
Dress for ALL weather! Please pack long pants, long sleeves, climbing boots (over the ankle), rain and warm jackets, hats and gloves,. Don't forget sunscreen and bug spray.
Water Bottle & MORE..
Please bring your own water bottle or hydration pack, we will have water coolers in the field for you to refill your water bottles. Your yoga mat, blocks and strap want to join the fun. We do have a limited qty (first come, first serve).
Refund and Cancellation Policy: Registration is limited! If you cannot attend, for any reason, please contact us as soon as possible. If you notify us on or before June 23, 2023 your registration will be refunded. After June 23, if we can fill your position from the "Waitlist" your funds -$100.00 will be returned. After June 30, no refunds will be granted.
