WTCW is coming back to the Texas State University Camp on February 23-25, 2024!

EVENT DETAILS:

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation! 

Check in:  

Check in at Noon on 2/23.  Should you arrive early please feel free to walk the trails or enjoy some time by the Blanco river until the event starts.

This all-inclusive workshop includes food, lodging, instruction, use of gear, networking and CEU's.   You will learn how how to climb trees while emphasizing the art and science of Arboriculture.  This safe, empowering experience will renew your spirit, allow you to bond with others curious and excited to advance their knowledge.  Most importantly, you will leave with new friends and a network of professional colleagues.  

Travel:

If you need to a ride from the airport - please research car share programs (Taxi, Uber, Lyft, etc.). or if you wish to coordinate rides with other participants, please email our carpool coordinator Sarah Campbell (redbirdspell@gmail.com)

Lodging:  

Bring your own bedding (sleeping bag & pillow). The camp offers indoor bunk- bed lodging, bathrooms and showers.  If you wish to tent camp you are welcome -BYOT.  Please bring your own towel and personal hygiene items. 

Food:  

Catered meals & snacks are included in your registration costs!  Friday: dinner, Saturday: breakfast, lunch and dinner, Sunday: breakfast and lunch.  If you have food allergies, our caterer will do their best to fulfill your requests.  If you need special snacks- please bring.  There is a fridge on site for everyone to share.

Tree Climbing Gear: 

If you have your own tree climbing gear and wish to use it at the event, please bring it with any gear inspection documentation.  Your gear shall be inspected and signed off by a WTCW team member before using.

Clothing: 

TX "sprinter" weather changes quickly. Dress for all weather!  Please pack long pants, long sleeves, hiking (over the ankle) boots, rain and warm jackets, warm hat and gloves, and don't forget sunscreen and bug spray.  Be prepared.

Yoga & More ...

Your yoga mat and blocks want to join the fun.  If you don't have them, WTCW has some to share (first come, first serve).

Please bring your own water bottle and snack container. Water and snack coolers are available in the field.  

Consider bringing your own plate and silverware to reduce your environmental footprint. The caterer has a biodegradeable weekend option.

Cancellation Policy: 

If you can’t attend the event, please email asap.  Full refund available until noon on Jan 19th, 2024. Refund less $100 available until Feb 9, 2024.  After February 9, no refunds will be granted.
